UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that his country provided 2.3 billion pounds (2.5 billion euros) of military support to Ukraine in 2022.

At the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, Sunak said Britain will be the first party to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons.

According to the prime minister, a turning point has occurred in military actions, and in this regard, Sunak called on European leaders to double their military support for Kyiv.

He noted that in the coming months, the UK will provide Ukraine with as much military equipment as in the whole of 2022.

Sunak added that his country is prepared to help any nation that wants to supply aircraft to Kyiv, and the support should also be for training pilots to use the latest fighter models.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace stated that only after the end of the Russian military operation, Ukraine will get modern fighters, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Wallace said in an interview with the German magazine "Spiegel" today, Saturday that there will be no rapid shipments of fighters, at least at this stage and in the next six months.
