A few hours ago, the UK's King Charles III released the first public message since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis.

During his message, released by Buckingham Palace, King Charles said that he would like "to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days."

He added: "As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement."

Last week, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III was diagnosed with a form of cancer after conducting a procedure for benign prostate enlargement.

Buckingham Palace added that the King would step back from his public duties during his treatments.

Therefore, intensified activities for the working senior Royal members are seen, for example, Queen Camilla participated in various activities within a few days, and Princess Royal Anne, the King's sister, conducted several engagements in one day.

In the same context, Prince William returned to his public engagements after a two-week off after his wife Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, underwent an abdominal surgery.
