UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, said today, Tuesday, the country intends to continue transferring arms to Ukraine and to impose sanctions against Russia.
During a speech to the country's parliament, Truss said it is important to continue supporting Kyiv, as it is about freedom and democracy in Ukraine, as well as in Europe and the whole world.
She added that the UK intends to transfer more weapons, impose more sanctions and support Ukraine.
The foreign secretary indicated that imposing sanctions on Moscow will continue until the complete withdrawal of its forces from Ukrainian territory.
She also stressed that the government aimed at increasing defense expenditures, explaining that it will ensure the training of the Ukrainian troops, especially helping its allies on the eastern side who are under a direct threat from Russia.
It is expected that Truss will go to Turkey on Wednesday to discuss methods of transporting Ukrainian grain from the ports of Odesa, while the British foreign secretary herself announced that there are only "several weeks" to find a solution to this issue.
