British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has postponed his visit to China after absence of his Chinese counterpart Qin Gang in the public space, according to Bloomberg
The absence of the Chinese foreign minister from public appearances sparked a lot of media speculation, and a report by "Bloomberg" stated that "British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly postponed his scheduled visit to Beijing this month," and that "the absence of the Chinese foreign minister for about a month caused the delay Cleverlys visit to Beijing at the end of July."
Bloomberg noted that Qin Gang was last seen in public on June 25, when he held a meeting with officials from Russia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
