The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office condemned North Korea's launch of a new ballistic missile at dawn today.
"North Korea has once again violated United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions by launching a short-range ballistic missile on January 1," a Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement on Sunday, according to the British government's official website.
"The UK, along with our international partners, continues to call on North Korea to return to dialogue and prioritize the interests of its people rather than the illegal pursuit of nuclear and ballistic missile programmes," the statement added.
It is worth mentioing that, The South Korean army announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile over the Sea of Japan towards the east of the Korean Peninsula in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The move came less than 24 hours after North Korea launched three ballistic missiles.
