UK Coronavirus Cases Increase to More Than Half Million in 7 Days

UK recorded more than half a million new corona cases in the last 7 days, with infections continuing to rise across the country, according to “RT”.

UK Health Security Agency confirmed that 516,289 cases and 744 deaths had been reported during the last 7 days.

A new mutant of Coronavirus, called “Stealth Omicron” is believed that it is responsible for about 57% of the current cases in the country. Scientists are afraid that this mutant could be more spreadable.

Last February, the British authorities eased all restrictions imposed to limit the spread of Coronavirus, including quarantine.

Health Minister Sajid Javed said that the increase of cases is “expected”.
