The UK’s Foreign Ministry has announced allocating $750,000 to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Ukraine.
“Today’s additional funds will help the IAEA continue its vital work in Ukraine providing support and advice to the Ukrainian government in nuclear safety,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
It noted that since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, the British government has allocated £5 million ($6.2 Million) to support IAEA’s efforts in Ukraine.
During a session of the agency's board of directors, UK Permanent Representative to the IAEA Corinne Kitsell expressed her concerns about the consequences of destroying the Kakhovka Dam.
