Uganda’s Embassy in Cairo Celebrates Sisi’s Visit to Entebbe

​The Embassy of Uganda in Cairo celebrated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Uganda, noting that Egypt and Uganda are bound by the Nile River, which it described as a shared heritage that calls for cooperation, mutual respect, and joint development.

​The Ugandan Embassy in Cairo stated that the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, arrived in Uganda on an official visit and was received at Entebbe International Airport by Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, the Special Envoy for Special Duties in the Office of the President.

​In a post on Facebook, the embassy added that the Nile River connects Uganda and Egypt as a shared natural heritage that necessitates cooperation, mutual respect, and common development. 

It further noted that President Sisi’s visit provides an opportunity to deepen dialogue on water, agriculture, energy, and regional stability.

​In a subsequent post, the embassy mentioned that President Museveni welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Uganda for official talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries and advancing the shared interests of Africa.
