UFC Returns to Abu Dhabi in October

The first and biggest MMA promotion in the world, UFC 281, will return to Abu Dhabi on October 22, Al Ain reported on Friday.

The upcoming event will be the third of the five-year partnership between the state and the MMA organization.

The registration for early bird tickets became available from today as Abu Dhabi is the home of the promotion since during the pandamic.

UFC 281 Showdown week will be the first in-person events.

The third Abu Dhabi Showdown Week will witness the organization various activities such as concerts, workshops, and meet and greet sessions.

Fatima Al Baloushi, Acting Director of Abu Dhabi Events Bureau, at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), told WAM: "UFC and Abu Dhabi Showdown Week are massively popular and almost permanent fixtures on our Abu Dhabi Calendar. We strive to deliver the world's best fighters and we are excited to bring yet another thrilling title bout to Abu Dhabi in October."

In the same context, UFC President Dana White said: "I can't wait to bring another event back to Abu Dhabi."

She added: "Every time we go there the events get bigger and better, and this year we are going all out and bringing back Abu Dhabi Showdown Week in addition to more incredible fights. Fans are not going to want to miss this one."
