The Uefa postponed on Monday the final game of the Uefa Champions League and the Europa League until an unknown date due to coronavirus pandemic.
The COVID-19 caused complete paralysis in football across Europe as the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced the continent as 'epicenter' of the virus.
In a statement, the Uefa has decided to delay all the finals of the European competitions, due to be held in May, until an unknown date.
"As a result of the COVID-19 crisis in Europe, UEFA has today formally taken the decision to postpone the following matches, originally scheduled for May 2020," the statement read.
The finals, which were postponed, are in the following tournaments:
UEFA Women’s Champions League Final
UEFA Europa League Final
UEFA Champions League Final
The statement also added that the new dates have been not set yet.
"No decision has yet been made on rearranged dates," it concluded.
On March 17, the Uefa decided to postpone Euro 2020 by one year until 2021 because of the coronavirus outbreak.
European football’s governing body made the decision during an emergency video conference involving major stakeholders.
The tournament, which was scheduled to take place from 12 June-12 July this summer, will be played from 11 June to 11 July next year.
European football’s governing body said that the postponement would give a chance for European leagues that have been halted to now be played.
