Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara held a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

According to the Syrian presidency, the two leaders exchanged greetings and well wishes during the call, expressing their hopes for continued prosperity and stability for both nations.

As reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al-Shara and Sheikh Mohammed extended their warmest wishes for health and happiness to all, praying that the blessed occasion brings goodness, blessings, and peace to the peoples of Syria, the UAE, the broader Islamic world, and the global community.

The call also touched on the fraternal relations between the two countries and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in a manner that benefits both peoples.

It is worth noting that on May 11, the two presidents had a previous phone conversation during which they exchanged views on recent regional developments and explored ways to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors.

In April, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received President Al-Shara in Abu Dhabi and reaffirmed the UAE’s support for all efforts aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people.
