UAE Succeeds in Vaccinating Entire Population with First Dose of Anti-Corona Vaccine

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced yesterday, Wednesday, its success in vaccinating the entire population with the first dose of the anti-Corona vaccine.

And the Emirates News Agency stated that the percentage of those receiving the first dose of the total population reached 100 percent, while the proportion of recipients of the two vaccine doses was 92.31 percent of the total approved population census.

Dr. Noura Al-Ghaithi, the official spokesperson for the health sector in the UAE, explained that the health sector is continuing its efforts to reach community immunity by providing vaccines to groups eligible to receive them.

She added that studies have proven that vaccinations, with their basic and supportive doses, significantly help reduce the risk of disease, complications, and deaths and have an effective role in stopping mutant mutations from appearing.

Al-Ghaithi indicated that the booster dose is one of the most important factors for maintaining public health and the safety of community members.

She affirmed that the booster dose has a significant and effective role in enhancing acquired immunity to achieve maximum benefit, especially in the current circumstances in which the world is witnessing an increase in the number of registered cases.

She said that doctors recommend qualifying inpiduals to receive booster doses to protect them, especially the elderly and those with chronic diseases, given what receiving booster doses constitute support for national efforts in combating the pandemic and transgenes and to achieve health security in society.
