A UAE aid plane arrived in the city of Amdjarass in Chad, carrying food parcels from the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works.
It was received by representatives of humanitarian agencies in the country, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry.
Ahmed Obaid Al Dhaheri, the head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation in Chad, said the team currently in Amdjarass will provide this aid to the Sudanese refugees and the local community in Chad, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to extend a helping hand to the needy.
Al Dhaheri added that the team of charitable organizations present in Amdjarass monitored the food and humanitarian needs of Sudanese refugees in order to provide them to alleviate their suffering due to the current situation in their country.
The team continues to provide all forms of support to Sudanese refugees and provide them with basic needs, embodying the UAE's pioneering role in the fields of charitable and humanitarian work.
