UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received, on Wednesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, they discussed UAE-Turkey relations and the importance of strengthening cooperation and joint efforts to develop them across various fields within the framework of their strategic relations and comprehensive economic partnership.
Both sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East and regional and international efforts to maintain the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, address the urgent humanitarian situation there, and ensure the unimpeded flow of sufficient aid, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
In this context, they emphasized the need to intensify efforts to advance a just and comprehensive peace process in the region based on the two-state solution, as it is the only way to consolidate regional security and stability and a fundamental pillar for achieving the aspirations of the region's peoples for development and prosperity.
