UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the latest regional developments and their grave implications for regional and international security.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the call addressed the impact of the current war on international maritime security and the global economy, with both leaders exchanging views on these critical issues.
"The two sides discussed the ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression against the UAE and countries in the region, which targets civilians, facilities, and civilian infrastructure," WAM reported.
"Such actions constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law, undermining regional security and stability."
The joint U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran has been ongoing since February 28.
Meanwhile, Russia has condemned the attack on Iran, labeling it "unjustified aggression."
Moscow called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, seeking diplomatic solutions and the respect of Iranian sovereignty.
