UAE President, Indian PM Hold Phone Talks

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They discussed the developments taking place in the Middle East, including the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and its repercussions on the region, following the continued military escalation.

They also underlined the need for urgent diplomatic action to push towards a clear path to achieve comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace that would guarantee the stability, security, and peace of the region, and prevent the escalation of violence and further crises, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

In this context, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed stressed the priority of intensifying efforts to work to stop the deterioration of the humanitarian situation of civilians in Gaza and protect their lives, in addition to ensuring the rapid delivery of relief assistance to them and enabling humanitarian organizations to play their role in this regard.

During the call, the two sides discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work that serve the mutual interests and contribute to the promotion of comprehensive and sustainable development in the two countries.
