UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held phone conversations on Sunday with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and its impact on regional security and stability.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), both Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Starmer emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote diplomatic solutions and dialogue as a means to resolve crises and safeguard regional peace and stability.
They also reviewed the strategic relationship between the UAE and the UK and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors to serve mutual interests.
In a related development, President Sheikh Mohamed also spoke with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides about the implications of Israeli military operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran, highlighting concerns over the impact on regional stability and security.
