The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, directed the operation of an air bridge to transport urgent relief aid to the brothers affected by the earthquake that struck some regions of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco, while providing various forms of support.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his condolences to King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people for the victims of the earthquake that struck the Kingdom yesterday evening.
The death toll from the earthquake, which occurred on Friday evening, and whose epicenter was located in the Ighil community in Al Haouz province, has so far risen to 820 deaths and 372 injuries, according to the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior.
