The UAE Consulate in Los Angeles has issued a warning to Emirati citizens residing in the United States regarding the current violent climate fluctuations being experienced in the country.

The Emirati newspaper "Al-Bayan" reported that the consulate in Los Angeles has urged UAE nationals in the United States to exercise caution due to the extension of the impact of Hurricane "Hilary," which has transformed into a rainstorm.

The diplomatic mission emphasized the importance of following safety instructions issued by the American authorities, as well as communicating with the consulate in case of emergencies and registering for the "My Presence" service.

It's worth noting that Hurricane Hilary had developed into a major storm in the Pacific Ocean on Friday, with expectations of increasing in intensity as it approaches the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico.

Heavy rain is anticipated in southwestern areas of the United States as the storm moves northward.

According to the US National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Hilary is a major Category 4 storm due to its accompanying winds, with maximum speeds reaching 225 kilometers per hour.

The center predicted rainfall amounts ranging between 7.5 and 15 centimeters, potentially reaching up to 25 centimeters in parts of the Baja California Peninsula, until next Sunday night. Flooding is also likely to occur.
