UAE, India FMs Discuss Regional Security, Strategic Cooperation

​Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed the latest regional developments with India's Minister of External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

​According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the two ministers reviewed the "brutal and terrorist Iranian missile attacks" that targeted the UAE and several brotherly and friendly nations.

They examined the grave repercussions of these actions on regional and international security, stability, maritime safety, energy supplies, and the global economy.

​Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s full solidarity with the UAE in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.

​For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for Jaishankar’s visit, noting it embodies the depth of the strategic ties between the two nations.

He emphasized the UAE's commitment to the safety of all those residing in or visiting the country.

​The two sides reviewed the latest regional updates, specifically regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. They stressed the importance of strengthening international efforts to establish lasting peace and security in the region.

​The ministers also discussed several topics of mutual interest concerning the strategic relationship between the UAE and India.

They explored ways to further enhance cooperation to serve their mutual interests and promote prosperity for both peoples.
