UAE FM, Italian Counterpart Discuss Ways to Enhance Joint Co-op

UAE Foreign Minister (FM), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, in Abu Dhabi.

This visit comes within the framework of mutual keenness to enhance joint cooperation between both countries, especially in the wake of their recent announcement to upgrade their relations to the level of strategic partnership.

Moreover, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation in all fields, including economic, trade, energy and others.

The meeting also reviewed joint cooperation in the field of climate, especially with the UAE hosting the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) next November and December at Expo City Dubai.

Furthermore, both ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, in addition to the current situation in the region.
