Dubai Aims to Double Size of Economy to $8.7 Trillion by 2033

In a move to double the size of Dubai's economy within ten years until 2033, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Dubai Economic Agenda "D33", which includes 100 transformational projects. 

The plan includes economic goals that seek Dubai to consolidate its position among the top 3 economic cities around the world.

Sheikh Al Maktoum stressed that «Dubai's economic agenda includes 100 transformational projects, the details of which will be announced, and total economic targets amounting to 32 trillion dirhams (8.7 trillion dollars) during the next ten years.

Dubai seeks to double foreign trade to reach 25 trillion dirhams ($6.8 trillion) over the next decade, and to add trade corridors for Dubai with 400 new cities around the world.

He added that Dubai will be among the most important 4 global financial centers, and our goal is to attract foreign direct investments that exceed 650 billion dirhams ($176.9 billion) within 10 years, and the current digital transformation will add 100 billion dirhams ($27.2 billion) to the Dubai economy annually.

The Ruler of Dubai revealed that the city today has more than 300,000 investors, and Dubai is betting that it will be one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
