The UAE expressed its full solidarity with Egypt, in the face of the Israeli allegations and claims regarding the Philadelphia corridor, and also strongly condemned and denounced the offensive Israeli statements in this regard, which threaten stability and exacerbate the situation in the region.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised Egypt’s efforts, which it is making alongside the State of Qatar and the United States, to establish a ceasefire and release the hostages, expressing its hope that it will result in a truce that will lead to an end to the war, sparing the Palestinian people further suffering, and thus contributing to consolidating the foundations of stability and achieving sustainable security in the region.
The UAE called on the Israeli authorities to stop the escalation and not take steps that exacerbate tension and instability in the region, stressing that the UAE rejects all practices that violate international legitimacy resolutions and threaten further escalation.
The Ministry also stressed the importance of supporting all regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East, as well as putting an end to the illegal practices that threaten reaching the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
