UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, affirmed that the Emirati-Egyptian relations have, over half a century, provided an inspiring model in Arab-Arab relations, whether in terms of the diversity of the foundations of these relations or the diversity of their strategic tributaries that provide them with the ability to continue and develop for the sake of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

According to  the Emirates News Agency, Al-Bawardi said - in a speech on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Egyptian-Emirati relations, today, Wednesday - that "the deep understanding that brings together the leaderships of the two countries is a strong basis for overcoming any challenges facing this advanced model of relations between the Arab brothers."

He pointed out to "the close and strong ties on the military level and wide-ranging cooperation in the military field between the UAE and Egypt, as the naval, air and ground forces of the two countries participate continuously and systematically, in a series of joint military exercises."

Al Bowardi pointed out that "this growing military cooperation over the past fifty years is also reflected in the meetings of the defense leaders of the two brotherly countries, where there were numerous meetings of senior military leaders on various periodic occasions and events, as well as the mutual visits of the Emirati and Egyptian military delegations, as this takes place within the framework of the constant keenness to discuss developments on the regional and international arenas and ways to support and strengthen joint military cooperation relations and exchange military expertise between the armed forces of both countries.
