Authorities in Dubai have confirmed that emergency teams are dealing with an incident caused by falling debris and missile fragments in the southern part of the city. The fragments struck several residential homes, resulting in structural damage and four minor injuries among Asian nationals residing in the area.
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that national air defenses successfully intercepted a multi-pronged aerial attack involving ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. According to the official statement, the defense systems engaged and neutralized 36 drones, 4 cruise missiles, and 8 ballistic missiles directed toward the country.
Providing a broader scope of the ongoing regional tensions, the Ministry released updated statistics on intercepted threats. Since the beginning of recent hostilities, the UAE air defenses have reportedly intercepted a total of 433 ballistic missiles, 1,977 drones, and 19 cruise missiles.
Local authorities emphasized that the situation in southern Dubai is currently under control, and the injured individuals have received necessary medical treatment for their minor wounds. Residents are urged to follow official safety instructions and rely on government sources for updates regarding national security.
