U.S. Interior Department Secretary David Bernhardt contracted COVID-19 on Wednesday, Reuters reported, according to the department spokesman Nicholas Goodwin.
Via an email to Reuters, Goodwin said that Bernhardt is asymptomatic and would continue to work while in quarantine.
The Washington Post, which first reported the secretary's positive test, reported Bernhardt is at least the third top official from the department to contract the coronavirus since November.
Last Wednesday, the State Department announced that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo went into a self-quarantine after getting in contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
