Facebook revealed on Friday that it will update the notifications bar on its main application and Instagram. Facebook will announce the winner of the U.S. presidential elections once it has been revealed by the majority of the media outlets.
Facebook will also mark presidential candidates with a link to their voting information center.
Facebook said in a tweet that as many states continue to count ballots, they wanted to share a reminder of the steps we would take to provide accurate information through their products once a presidential winner has been declared.
It added that if the majority of the independent decision-making desks in major media outlets project a winner, the updates running across the top of Facebook and Instagram would be updated with the predicted winner of the elections.
