Two Israeli women were shot dead and a third seriously wounded today (Friday) in an attack on their vehicle in the occupied West Bank.
Today's attack came as a response to Israeli predawn raids launched on southern Lebanon and Gaza.
A spokesman for the Magen David Adom (the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross) announced the killing of two young women “in their twenties and medical care was provided to a woman in her forties in a very serious condition.”
A statement said that the dead were two sisters and the injured were their mother.
For its part, the Israeli army said in a statement that "a car was shot at the Hamra junction" in the northern Jordan Valley, an area that includes settlement blocs and has been occupied by Israel since 1967.
