Filming wrapped on Tunisian actress Hend Sabry‘s upcoming Netflix TV series “Finding Ola”.
The series is influenced by the main characters of the popular 2010 hit TV series “Ayza Atgawez” (I Want to Get Married), which was written by Ghada Abd El Aal. “Finding Ola” is written by Maha El Wazir and Ghada Abd El Aal.
Sabry is reprising her role as Ola Abdel Sabour in the upcoming production, which will center around how the years have changed her.
“Finding Ola” also delves into the social changes in Ola Abd El Sabour’s life as she tries to cope with the fast-paced world while working hard to rediscover or rather reinvent herself and whose life is torn between her responsibilities and her attempts to find love.
The cast also includes Sawsan Badr, Hany Adel, Nada Mousa, Mahmoud El Leithy, Dalia Shawky, and others.
The series is directed by Hadi El Bagoury, with Sabry also serving as executive producer for the first time through her company SALAM PROD., in cooperation with Partner Pro & Executive Producer Amin El Masri.
“Finding Ola” features many celebrities making special appearances including Khaled El Nabawy, Yousra, and Shereen Reda.
The production of the series kicked off in late January 2021 in various locations in Cairo, ensuring health and safety measures for all staff members.
Sabry participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Hagma Mortada”, which was one of the most popular productions in the Ramadan 2021 drama marathon.
The series tackled espionage and was based on a case from the Egyptian General Intelligence files.
The plot centered around a man (Ezz) working abroad who becomes a target of an attempt by its foreign intelligence services to serve as a spy against Egypt, but he contacts the Egyptian intelligence and receives the highest level of training from the officials (Nidal El Shafei and Hisham Selim), and severs as a double spy.
“Hagma Mortada” also starred Ahmed Ezz, Magda Zaki, Salah Abdullah, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Khaled Anwar, Dr. Mohamed Gomaa, Mayan El Sayed, Ahmed Fouad Selim, and others.
It was written by Baher Dewidar and directed by Ahmed Alaa.
Synergy production company, the company behind the series, announced in July that there will be a second season of the series, which is set to premiere in the Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.
