The TV BRICS International Media Network has released a new mobile application to provide more convenient access to its content via mobile devices for users across different macro-geographical regions, TV BRICS reported.
In the current version, the technological architecture has been redesigned, the interface updated, the loading speed of news materials, video content and special projects optimised, and work in a multilingual environment improved.
“The mobile application is based on the content and structure of the multilingual TV BRICS portal but is presented in a format adapted for mobile devices. The sections and presentation of materials are structured to preserve the logic of the portal while simultaneously ensuring convenient content consumption. The application interface has become more intuitive: it is easier to switch between language versions, find materials on various topics, and watch video content on a smartphone screen. Mobile users now receive more stable and faster access to news about the activities of the BRICS countries and the group’s partners,” said Stanislav Pichkalev, Director of the TV BRICS Digital Department.
He emphasised that the mobile application is being developed as part of the unified digital ecosystem of TV BRICS, and therefore its functionality is being consistently expanded. Future plans include the development of video formats and notifications to promptly inform users about key events in the BRICS+ countries.
“In 2026, TV BRICS will continue to develop a unified digital ecosystem that brings together the multilingual portal and mobile services. The focus will be on a comprehensive redesign of the portal aimed at improving usability and content interaction, as well as optimising video loading speeds so that users in different countries receive stable and comfortable viewing. A separate area of work will be the development of smart navigation and mechanisms for thematic grouping of materials, which will make it possible to create more accurate content selections for users based on their interests across all TV BRICS digital platforms,” Stanislav Pichkalev clarified.
The new TV BRICS application is available for users of the Android and iOS mobile operating systems.
The first version of the TV BRICS mobile application for Android was launched in 2018.
