Türkiye's Center for Combating Disinformation dismissed social media claims alleging that "Turkey will intervene in the war on behalf of Iran or will enter Lebanon", stressing that these claims are completely false and intended to spread disinformation.

In a statement, the center added that the Republic of Turkey has declared that it is not a party to the war.

"Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey is exerting intensive diplomatic efforts to end the attacks as quickly as possible, prevent the war from spreading, and establish lasting peace. Turkey's stance is appreciated by all actors, especially those involved in the conflict."

" These posts, filled with misinformation, are also part of a psychological warfare campaign aimed at distorting Turkey's image and obscuring its constructive role in the crisis,"  the statement noted.

"We strongly urge the domestic and international public opinion to disregard these baseless claims and rely only on statements issued by official authorities."
