On Monday, Türkiye and Egypt held political consultations in Cairo after a long hiatus, the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo posted on X.
The Turkish Ambassador, Salih Mutlu Şen, said that the talks were co-chaired by Deputy Minister Burhanettin Duran and Egypt’s Assistant to Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Ambassador Wael Hamed.
The Ambassador highlighted in his post, "Discussions focused on bilateral ties and regional issues. Both sides stressed trade and economy constitute crux of bilateral cooperation."
"The consultations were cordial and positive. Thank you for the warm hospitality extended to our delegation," he added.
