President of Religious Affairs in Turkey, Professor Dr. Ali Erbaş, paid a visit to Egypt’s esteemed Al-Azhar Mosque on Monday, where he performed Asr prayer and engaged in discussions on religious education.
During his visit, Dr. Erbaş received a briefing from Al-Azhar’s administration on its public religious and educational activities.
He also took time to speak with a number of students studying at the institution.
Highlighting Al-Azhar’s centuries-old influence in the Islamic world, Dr. Erbaş emphasized its significant role in shaping generations of scholars, including hundreds of Turkish graduates, praising Al-Azhar’s enduring contribution to the spread of religious knowledge and learning.
Dr. Erbaş further expressed his deep appreciation for Al-Azhar’s prominent status in Turkey, underscoring the respect and admiration it commands within Turkish religious and academic circles.
