A few minutes ago, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Cairo in his first official state visit to Egypt in more than 11 years.
The visit of President Erdogan came after receiving an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to enhance the bilateral ties between both countries.
President El Sisi and First Lady Entissar El Sisi received the Turkish counterpart and the Turkish First Lady at the airport.

Earlier, Presidency Spokesperson Dr. Ahmed Fahmy said that President El Sisi will have a joint summit with President Erdogan to discuss several common-interest regional issues, the developments in Gaza including the efforts of the ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of the strip, in addition to discussing the enhancement of the bilateral ties between Egypt and Turkey.
