During a recent visit to Arish, the Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Şen, emphasized his commitment to supporting kidney disease treatments, including dialysis and transplantation. Ambassador Şen, who has personal connections to the issue with loved ones affected by chronic kidney disease, praised the facilities at the Sheikh Zuweid Hospital's dialysis center, which he visited shortly before the commencement of Ramazan festivities.
"The suffering of young people undergoing dialysis deeply saddens me," Şen said, reflecting on his visit. "However, I was also profoundly impressed by the high level of care provided here. This hospital, despite being in a rural setting, is equipped with the finest technology and resources to serve both the local community and our brothers and sisters from Gaza."
Ambassador Şen also highlighted his active support for the Turkish Organ Transplant Foundation and his ongoing collaboration with them to enhance the support systems for patients needing kidney transplants and dialysis.
The visit underscores the strong ties between Turkey and Egypt in healthcare initiatives, particularly in providing critical care for chronic conditions such as kidney disease. As the region prepares for Ramazan, such support is crucial for those undergoing regular and intensive treatments like dialysis.
