Turkish Ambassador Congratulates Egypt on 51st Anniversary of October 6 Victory

Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, congratulated the Egyptian army and people on the 51st anniversary of the October 6 War victory. 

"I extend my congratulations to the heroic Egyptian army and the brotherly Egyptian people on the 51st anniversary of the October 6 victory," Turkish Ambassador posted on 'Facebook'.

The ambassador noted that "the Egyptian army made heroic sacrifices and demonstrated its bravery in defending Egyptian lands and for the Palestinian cause."

He also pointed out the strong alignment in traditions between the Egyptian and Turkish armies, stemming from a shared historical unity, adding that the Egyptian army is among the strongest in its region and that its influential and leading role in the Arab and Islamic world is well recognized.

The Turkish ambassador further mentioned that Turkey values the strength and distinguished status of the Egyptian armed forces and Egypt's significance.

In accordance with a decision by the President of Turkey, the military attaché at the Turkish embassy in Cairo was promoted from the rank of colonel to brigadier general.
