Turkey will host a NATO parliamentary summit in Istanbul on June 28–29, as part of preparations for the alliance's leaders' summit scheduled to take place in Ankara next month.
The meeting will be chaired by Numan Kurtulmuş and is expected to bring together parliamentary leaders and delegation heads from NATO member states, alongside senior officials from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The summit will serve as a platform for consultations on security, defense, and the alliance’s strategic priorities ahead of the NATO leaders' gathering in Ankara on July 7–8, which is expected to include participation from Donald Trump.
Hosted jointly by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Turkey, the event aims to strengthen coordination and dialogue among member-state legislatures.
The main session is scheduled to take place at Dolmabahçe Palace on June 29, marking the third NATO parliamentary summit following previous meetings in the United States and Belgium.
