The Turkish presidency on Monday strongly condemned the bombing of the Nasser Medical Complex, describing it as a “war crime” and a direct attack on press freedom, according to a statement carried by state media.
Ankara emphasized that targeting civilian and media facilities constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, warning that such actions threaten the safety of journalists and undermine global efforts to safeguard the freedom of the press.
Turkey reiterated its call for the international community to take immediate action to halt attacks on civilians and ensure accountability for violations committed in conflict zones.
This came after Israeli military carried out strikes on Nasser Medical Complex, southern Gaza's main Hospital, killing at least 19 people, including four journalists.
