Tunisian President Kais Saied is set to pay an official visit to Egypt starting from 9 to 11 April upon an invitation of Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, according to the Tunisian presidency's statement on Thursday.
It added that the visit comes within the framework of linking the bridges of communication and establishing the norm of consultation and coordination between the leaderships of the two countries.
"The visit also seeks to establish new visions and perceptions that enhance the path of the ongoing, special cooperation between Tunisia and Egypt in a way that meets the legal aspiration of the two brotherly peoples instability and development,” the statement added.
This would be Said’s first visit to Egypt and the first in-person talks to be held at the bilateral level between the two presidents.
