Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, received Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday. Lavrov is in Tunisia on a work visit on December 20 and 21, at Ammar's invitation.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the ministers presided over a friendly and constructive work session. They reviewed the bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economic, scientific, and technical.
They emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations, political consultations, and expanding cooperation areas.
On this occasion, it was agreed to hold the eighth session of the Tunisian-Russian Joint Committee in Moscow in early 2024.
This session will be a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations and updating the legal framework governing them.
