Tunisian President Kais Saied appointed Ahmed Hachani as Tunisia's Prime Minister, replacing Najla Bouden, the Presidency announced on Wednesday.
Hachani previously served as human resources director at Tunisia's central bank, and this decision came as Tunisia is facing various economic and social crises in the country.
Recently, Saied criticized the performance of his government in addressing problems and poor public services, including frequent water and power outages.
The former Prime Minister, Bouden, was appointed about two years ago, after sacking Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi and dissolving Parliament in 2021.
Bouden's government seems that it failed to fix the economic and social crisis, amid concerns over Tunisia would be unable to pay its foreign debts.
