Tunisian Interior Minister Kamal El-Feki received a number of Arab interior ministers.
This came within the 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, set to kick off later today, Monday, in Tunisia.
In a statement, Tunisian Interior Ministry stated that Al-Fiqi received today Qatari Interior Minister, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, Syrian Interior Minister, Major General Muhammad Khaled Al-Rahmoun, Yemeni Interior Minister, Major General Ibrahim Ali Ahmed Haidan, and Djibouti Minister of Interior, Said Nouh Hassan.
Within the framework of supporting and strengthening multilateral security cooperation relations with Arab countries, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, visited Tunisia, heading a high-level security delegation to participate in the forty-first session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which is currently held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council in the Tunisian capital.
Following his arrival, Interior Minister stressed the importance of participating in the activities of the current session of the Council, in light of the growing security challenges facing the Arab countries.
He also pointed out to the necessity of activating bilateral and multilateral security coordination mechanisms among the Arab security services to confront the challenges related to the spread of extremist thought and ideologies and organized crimes in all their forms.
