The Chargé d'Affaires of the Tunisian Embassy in Cairo, Doha Al-Shouikh, affirmed that the emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives is being held amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation attacks in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, in clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, international humanitarian law, and all relevant international resolutions.
Al-Shouikh explained that what is happening is not limited to the genocidal war in Gaza and the restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and the movement of people, but extends to new Israeli decisions aimed at expanding annexation in the West Bank and entrenching colonial settlements, in addition to targeting the city of Hebron and the Ibrahimi Mosque, within the framework of imposing a fait accompli policy, legitimizing the occupation, and seizing Palestinian lands.
She stressed Tunisia's condemnation of all colonial measures taken by the occupation, considering them a flagrant violation of international law and a deliberate undermining of the existing legal and historical status in the occupied Palestinian territories, affirming the complete rejection of annexation, settlement policies, and unilateral measures.
