Tunisia is set to host a ministerial meeting of the Trilateral Consultation Mechanism on Libya, bringing together Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria to coordinate positions on the ongoing Libyan crisis.
Preparations have been finalized for the meeting, which is expected to take place shortly at the headquarters of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In an official statement, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to advancing an inclusive Libyan–Libyan dialogue as the optimal path toward a comprehensive political settlement of the crisis. The statement also stressed the importance of close coordination among the three neighboring countries to support stability and help resolve the conflict in Libya.
The upcoming meeting follows a series of previous consultations among the three countries and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen regional coordination on the Libyan file.
The Libyan crisis has featured prominently in recent diplomatic engagements in Tunis, including bilateral meetings held by Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aaty with his Tunisian counterpart, as well as his meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, underscoring the shared commitment to regional cooperation on Libya.
