The Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture (ISESCO) will hold its 45th Executive Council meeting under the patronage of Tunisian President Kais Saied on February 25 and 26 in Tunisia. This session will see the participation of delegations from the organization’s member countries.

The announcement followed a meeting between President Saied and ISESCO's Director-General, Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, at the Carthage Palace in Tunis, as part of an official visit by the delegation to Tunisia. ISESCO's statement highlighted that during this meeting, the Director-General thanked President Saied for his support, emphasizing that this reflects the Tunisian leadership’s belief in the organization’s role, especially after its developments over the past five years, and its pioneering efforts in education, science, and culture.

Dr. Al-Malik noted that hosting the Executive Council meeting in Tunisia will significantly enhance the cooperation between ISESCO and Tunisia. He expressed confidence in the capabilities of the Tunisian authorities to successfully manage the council's proceedings.

It is worth noting that the ISESCO Executive Council meetings are held annually, with participation from delegations of all 53 member countries. The heads of the national committees usually lead these delegations.

The Executive Council is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the annual performance reports of ISESCO and approving future action plans proposed by the general administration.
