Tunisia offers condolences to Algeria over road accident

The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered condolences and sympathy to Algeria, following the painful traffic accident that occurred Wednesday in the Algerian state of Tamanrasset, leaving many victims.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry affirmed its solidarity with Algeria, expressing its hope that Algeria and its brotherly people will be protected from all harm.

The Algerian Civil protection "civil Defense" announced that a traffic accident occurred in the southern province of Tamanrasset, Wednesday, killing 34 people while 12 others were injured. 

The accident occured when a bus and a car collided in Algeria early on Wednesday, Algeria’s fire service said.

The Algerian media said that the terrible accident caused a huge fire, on National Road No. 01, in the municipality of Tamanrasset.

It indicated that the victims were burnt to death a result of the accident, while the injured were taken to hospital.
