On Friday, Tunisian President Kais Saied declared the extension of the nationwide state of emergency for six additional months, according to domestic reports.
According to a statement released by the Tunisian presidency on 23 July, President Saied announced: "We decided to extend the state of emergency in the entire territory of the republic for a period of six months, starting from July 24, 2021."
It's worth mentioning that a state of emergency was imposed throughout the country since a terrorist attack on a police bus in November 2015. Later on, it has been extended several times.
