Tunisia: Death Toll Rose to 33 after Boat Sinks off Coast of Louata

The death toll from a boat sinking off the coast of Louata in the Tunisian city of Sfax has risen to 33 people

The official spokesman for the General Administration of the Tunisian National Guard stated - in a statement today, Friday, that the combing operations carried out by the Naval Forces in Sfax continue after a boat accident off the coast of Louata last Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, units of the Maritime Zone in Sfax were able to rescue 72 Africans from sub-Saharan Africa and recover 25 bodies off the coast of El Louata, while the exploited boat sank.

In a related context, the coasts of Kerkennah were able to find 4 bodies, one of which is an infant, who is likely to be of sub-Saharan origin, which was thrown out by the sea waves.
