In the meetings, Youssef affirmed that the tour companies are interested in expanding their activities in Egypt and there is a great demand from the British tourists to visit Egypt.

The tour operators stressed that the coming tourist seasons would witness more tourist flow to the country from the British market, particularly after the UK's decision to lift the ban on direct flights to popular hotspot.

Regarding the joint promotional campaigns, he said that the Tourism Ministry adopted new criteria concerning the campaigns to be more effective and consistent with GEM 2020, PeopletoPeople, and Branding by Destination campaigns.

He also noted that the ministry is keen on developing the provided services to the tourists, especially services related to ensuring safety and quality in the hotels, citing the launch of the New Hospitality Criteria.
