Egyptian Ambassador to Tashkent, Amira Fahmy, participated on Saturday in the closing ceremony of “The Egyptian Month” activities.
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy at Uzbekistan and Helwan University organized the event celebrating the 29th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationships between Egypt and Uzbekistan.
On the sidelines of the event, Fahmy met Dr. Rikhsieva Gulchehra (TSUOS rector). They discussed the intention of deepening the bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egyptian universities.
“The Egyptian Month” activities included several lectures led by the Egyptian embassy regarding Egypt’s history, foreign policy and international relations.

Moreover, faculty from the tourism and hotel management department at Helwan University engaged in lecturing (virtually) students of the newly founded tourism department, TSUOS, about improving tourism in Egypt, infrastructure, the role of heritage in boosting tourism and the impact of COVID-19 on tourism.
